A mini-festival of public sharings
Do you love contemporary performance? Then come to ‘Alles voor het Experiment’ (Everything for the Experiment).
More than 50 performing artists have built their own infrastructure through the Fair Performance Pact foundation, enabling them to continue producing work with less reliance on government funding. These professional creators have the opportunity to showcase their work at various affiliated venues, such as the Plein Theater. Over the course of two evenings, five performers will present their work in ‘public sharing’ sessions, created in collaboration with Theaterplatform PickUp.
Like nothing else, the performing arts can connect people with one another—and with themselves—in the here and now. This Fair Performance Pact event fosters interaction through the trinity of performer, audience, and stage. This shared experience—this dialogue—represents a pact for fair practice in the arts.
You are about to see work that is still in development. Do you want to keep enjoying experimental performances? Buy a ticket for today’s show—and, if you like, for their next presentation as well. By doing so, you invest in and connect with these creators, enabling them to continue their work. Curious?
This program is our response to a changing society. Through experiments like this mini-festival, FPP hopes to safeguard the future of the performing arts, regardless of the political climate. The Fair Performance Pact views culture as a public good that we all nurture together.
Together with you—the audience—and venues like the Plein Theater, we want to support creators and make these performances a success. Otherwise, we risk ending up in a cultural climate where there is room only for pre-packaged mainstream content. Are you a creator, a venue, or a member of the audience who would like to join the Fair Performance Pact?
